Women are held to unrealistic standards. We are expected to always have our lives together, but also look good doing it. At some point, we may not be doing anything for ourselves anymore. We wake up, workout so we don't gain a single pound, follow a skin routine so our skin never wrinkles, spend forever trying to perfect our eyeliner, and slip into an outfit that's totally uncomfortable. Why? Why are we held to this impossible level of perfection? Women are constantly being told who to be, but I think it is time we take control of who are. Let’s wake up and go for a run because the feeling afterwards is amazing. Let’s follow a skin routine that makes us glow from the inside out. Let’s wear a fun makeup look and that cute t-shirt you've been dying to wear. Let's do all these things not for anyone else, but for ourselves. Let’s look amazing for US. Tip: Be kind to yourself. You don’t have to be perfect to be amazing. I am a part of the Bittersweet Babes because this is something I have always wanted to do. I have been dying to create a blog and create fun content for YEARS, I was just too scared to take the leap. But now I am leaping with my best gal pals by my side.
When joining the team, it was very obvious to me what I wanted my category to be, beauty and fashion! I love makeup, putting together outfits, and trying out different hairstyles. So, I want to share this passion and love I have with you all! I plan on sharing everything from specific outfits I wear - to makeup tips - to how I curl my hair. Although I love typing up blog posts, I am also wanting to expand my Instagram. This is a scary step for me because there's always the fear of being judged/failing. But I am done letting fear stop me from pursuing something I really love. Fellow Bittersweet Babe, Kadie told me an amazing quote once, “People will stare. Make it worth their while.” I hope my page on the Bittersweet site can help you gain confidence, not just with your appearance, but also within your soul! I want you to feel beautiful inside and out. I can't wait to start sharing more with you all. xoxo Paige “And so, she decided to live the life she’d imagined”
