While writing in my “Dear God” journal, I finished off the letter by writing that I need to look up and put my focus on God. I then wrote the title of the song “Look up Child” by Lauren Daigle and signed off. I then picked up my daily devotional book, turned to the next chapter I was ready for, and there looking me in the eye was the title “Upward and Onward”. Now some may say this is a coincidence, but I like to call this a God-wink.
To me this is God confirming what I am thinking or pondering on. It never fails to bring a smile to my face and a "Thank you, God" from my lips. So that I would not forget, God winked again that day. I was reading on my lunch break and came across the word UPWARD in a non-related book. The word was capitalized and in bold font. Once again, I smiled and said thank you. It brought me back to what God was dealing with me on. That I need to not worry about anything. If I will look upward to Him, He will take care of my every need. According to yourdictionary.com, a God-wink is a personal experience, often identified as coincidence, so astonishing that it is seen as a sign of diving intervention, especially when perceived as the answer to a prayer. Start paying closer attention to things around you. I believe you will begin to see that God-winks on each of us all the time. Small things we take for granted, can be His way of letting you know He is there, He cares, and He will never leave you.
